Live Better with Bonviva DAVOS FESTIVAL – young artists in concert
"Playground" – this year's theme for the DAVOS FESTIVAL could hardly be more appropriate. That's because from August 5 to 19, Davos becomes a playground for around 80 highly talented young musicians who will be performing a unique mix of works, both classical and modern.
Every summer, music lovers look forward to the famous DAVOS FESTIVAL – as they have done for 30 years. Credit Suisse has always been the main sponsor of the festival, which has become a major platform for young, highly gifted musicians.
This year's theme is "Playground." In Europe's highest city, space is being made for young musicians to try new things, perform in a wide variety of formats, and find their inspiration. In numerous hotels, churches and cultural institutions, listeners are invited to explore music as an amazingly playful art of the present.
Exclusive private concerts and making your own instruments
One of this year's highlights is the game box. Here an artist performs for a visitor on a one-to-one basis for five minutes. These exclusive, private concerts take place daily at Bubenbrunnenplatz – admission is free.
For those not just wanting to listen but also to make something themselves, the best option is the "Small Instruments – Making and Playing Them Yourself" workshop. Pawel Romanczuk, co-founder of the group "Małe Instrumenty" (Polish for "small instruments"), will be demonstrating how the instruments are made and played in the auditorium of the Schweizer Alpinen Mittelschule daily from August 7 to 10.
