General Information

Investment Services

Credit Suisse offers the following investment services using hybrid contracts, i.e. within the same contract it may provide both advised and non-advised services as described below:

1. Non-Advised Services

Credit Suisse provides its clients with the option of purchasing, selling, administrating, and safekeeping securities traded in the Mexican financial system or the SIC, without issuing any recommendations. This service includes money market, fixed-income markets, equity markets, and structured products. Decisions to purchase or sell assets shall be completely independent of the guidelines, evaluations, recommendations, and strategies indicated by Credit Suisse.

2. Servicios asesorado

Credit Suisse provides its clients with the option of purchasing, selling, administrating, and safekeeping securities that are traded in the Mexican financial system or the SIC with support or active management provided by Credit Suisse's Strategic Solutions Group. This service includes money market, fixed-income markets, equity markets, alternative products (CKDs and FIBRAs), and structured products.

Non-Discretionary

1. Passive Advisory Services

Credit Suisse provides its clients with the option of purchasing, selling, administrating, and safekeeping securities that are traded in the Mexican financial system or the SIC, based on strategies, research documents, and investment recommendations provided by Credit Suisse's Strategic Solutions Group, including money market, fixed-income markets, equity markets, alternative products (CKDs and FIBRAs), and structured products. Passive advisory services are characterized by the fact that the client expressly solicits Credit Suisse's opinion regarding any asset, product, or investment solution.

2. Active Advisory Services

Active advisory services are characterized by the fact that Credit Suisse provides clients who have previously agreed to this service with unprompted recommendations or suggestions for products or investment solutions according to the risk profile for their strategy, all of which fall within the risk budget that has been calculated or selected based on the client profile questionnaire.

Discretionary

Credit Suisse provides its clients with the option of entering into contracts authorizing the institution to actively manage their investment portfolio through discretionary purchases and sales on behalf of and for the account of each client, while continually adhering to the investment strategy and investment objectives established in these contracts and specified in Annex B of these contracts.
The maximum and minimum percentages for each type of asset – i.e. the limits and restrictions for money market, for fixed income, for equities, and alternative products – are documented in Credit Suisse's Portfolio Diversification Policy, described below. In addition, the client must specify the allocation of the funds based on Credit Suisse's standard strategies or any strategies that the client has included in the contract. Lastly, the reference or benchmark for assessing the management must be specified in the contract from the start.
