Eyal Waldman is the President and CEO, Mellanox Technologies, headquartered in Sunnyvale, California and Yokneam, Israel. He co-founded Mellanox Techonologies, a leading supplier of end-to-end InfiniBand and Ethernet interconnect solutions and services for server and storage systems, in 1999. In 2007, Mellanox went public at a market cap of approximately $550 million.
Mr. Waldman believes that technical, financial, and quality milestones can be achieved with the right mindset and teamwork. Under his expert guidance, Mellanox has established a sound reputation as a leader in the data center interconnect market.
Mr. Waldman’s initiatives and management style have led Mellanox to build the world’s fastest interconnect solutions which are consistently generations ahead of all competitors. These products have changed the way companies build their computing and storage data centers to be more efficient and environment-friendly. Mellanox’s solutions have led to further research and science discoveries that were impossible with other technologies, as well as increased product development and reduced time-to-market for Fortune 500 companies.
Prior to co-founding Mellanox, from March 1993 to February 1999, Mr. Waldman served as vice president of engineering and as a co-founder at Galileo Technology Ltd., a fabless semiconductor company that went public on NASDAQ in 1997 for approximately $250 million and was later sold to Marvell for $2.7 billion in 2000.
From August 1989 to March 1993, Mr. Waldman worked at Intel where he received the Intel Achievement Award in 1991 and the employee of the year award in 1992.
Mr. Waldman holds a BSc degree in Computer Engineering and an MSc degree in Electrical Engineering from the Technion Israel Institute of Technology.
