Christopher S. Lee

Christopher(Chris)Lee is a co-founder and CIO of Zentific Investment Management. Prior to founding Zentific, he was a key member of the Asia Pacific and Emerging Markets Equity Group within BlackRock’s Scientific Active Equity team. He co-established and headed up the systematic portfolio management activities on the ground in Hong Kong and was member of the AEJ Alpha Strategies Investment as well as Corporate Governance committees. At BlackRock, Chris was responsible for investment and business activities related to the BlackRock Pan Asia Opportunities Fund in Asia, and initiated and managed the Mid Horizon components of the fund as well as others. He was also the key business development person for the department in Asia.

Chris’ service with BlackRock dates back to 2006, including his years with Barclays Global Investors (BGI), which merged with BlackRock in 2009. At BGI he was a Portfolio Manager, managing Japan strategies. Prior to joining BGI, Chris was a senior research analyst at Invesco from 2003 to 2005 where he was an integral member of a four person Global Quantitative Strategies team running at peak $2.2 billion in quantitative run mutual funds. He began his career at Standard & Poor's as a credit ratings analyst in 1996 and later worked in M&A advisory and investment banking for TD Securities.

Chris earned a B.Com degree in finance from McGill University in 1995, a MSc degree in Operations Research from the London School of Economics and Political Science in 1996 and a MBA degree from the MIT Sloan School of Management in 2003. He is also a CFA charter holder.
