Joseph Xie

Founder and President, IC Engineering and Business School (ICEBS)

Joseph Xie is the founder and President of IC Engineering and Business School (ICEBS). He is also a co-founder of IC Coffee, and an adjunct professor at the School of Microelectronics at Fudan University.

In addition, Dr. Xie is one of the founding members of Semiconductor Manufacturing International Corporation (SMIC), serving as the Vice President of the Research and Development Center and the General Manager of the Eurasian Business Center. In 2012, Dr. Xie founded QST Corporation, a leading motion sensor chip company in China. In 2016, Dr. Xie founded ICEBS to train engineers and managers in the Integrated circuit industry.

After graduation, Dr. Xie worked on CMOS technology and device research at Intel and received the Intel Corporate Achievement Award in December 1990. Before that, he served as the Marketing Director at the Chartered Semiconductor Manufacturing Corporation, and was a founding member and adjunct professor at Singapore-MIT Alliance.

Dr. Xie graduated from Shanghai Jiaotong University. He received a Ph.D. degree from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and an EMBA degree from China Europe International Business School (CEIBS).
