Brandon Lin

Founder, President and Chief Investment Officer, SPQ Asia Capital Limited

Brandon is the Founder, President and Chief Investment Officer of SPQ Asia, a strong-performing China-focused long/short equity hedge fund affiliated with SAIF Partners Group, one of the largest and best performing independent China-focused private equity funds which he joined in 2001 as part of its founding team and is General Partner.

He has been at SPQ/SAIF in Hong Kong and Beijing for 18 years where he has a strong track record for investing, managing and exiting numerous profitable public and private transactions especially in the Chinese technology and consumer sectors. Before joining the Group, he was a Vice President in Investment Banking at Credit Suisse First Boston Technology Group (led by Frank Quattrone) and Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette (acquired by Credit Suisse) in New York, Boston and Hong Kong for 5 years from 1997 to 2001. He was also an Associate in Mergers & Acquisitions and Securities Law at Sullivan & Cromwell in Hong Kong and Los Angeles from 1994 to 1996.

Mr. Lin earned a Juris Doctorate cum laude from Harvard Law School in 1994 and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics with Distinction from Stanford University in 1991 (elected to Phi Beta Kappa in junior year). He is the Vice Chairman of Save the Children Hong Kong, a member of the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology Council Knowledge Transfer Committee and Co-Treasurer of the Harvard Club of Hong Kong.

他在SPQ/SAIF香港和北京工作了18年,有卓越的投资、管理和退出众多获利的公开和私募交易往绩,特别是在中国科技和消费品行业。加入集团前,他担任瑞士信贷第一波士顿投资银行业务科技组副总裁 (由Frank Quattrone领导),于1997年到2001年在Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette (后被瑞士信贷收购)的纽约、波士顿和香港办公室工作5年。他从1994年到1996年在Sullivan & Cromwell 律师事务所工作,担任并购和证券法法律顾问。

林先生于1994年获得哈佛法学院法学博士学位(优异生),于1991年获得斯坦福经济学学士学位(优异生)(第三年入选美国大学优等生荣誉学会Phi Beta Kappa)。他担任香港救助儿童会的副主席,香港科技大学知识转让委员会委员,哈佛大学香港校友会联席司库。
