Vincent de Luise

MD: Ophthalmology

Vincent de Luise, MD, FACS, is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Ophthalmology at Yale University School of Medicine, and Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at Weill Cornell Medical College, with expertise and clinical research experience in dry eye disease and pipeline, ophthalmic pharmaceuticals, cataract surgery, laser eye surgery, laser vision correction, glaucoma, ocular allergy medications, ocular NSAIDS, ocular antibiotics, LASIK, herpes simplex and zoster, corneal surgery, corneal transplantation, astigmatism, intraocular lens implant (IOL) surgery, toric (astigmatism) IOLs, multifocal, presbyopic and accommodating IOLs, ReStor IOLs, LASIK surgery, refractive surgery, PRK, DSEK and Corneal Transplantation. He has also done work on ophthalmic instrument design and miniaturization. Dr. de Luise is an Independent Ophthalmologist and Consultant (Vincent de Luise, MD, FACS). He is Physician Program Chair of the Connecticut Society of Eye Physicians, is a Honor Award and Senior Honor Award recipient of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, and was named to "Best Doctors in America" . Dr. de Luise has been a clinical trial investigator in dry eye trials and ocular antibiotic trials. Dr. de Luise is an Assistant Editor of Cornea Journal, the international peer-reviewed scientific journal of Cornea and External Disease, and he also serves on the editorial board of Eye World, the monthly journal of the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery. Dr. de Luise has consulted for Alcon, Allergan, Bausch + Lomb, Merck, Otsuka and Senji. He currently serves on the Scientific Advisory Board of Biosyntrx and the Connecticut Virtuosi Orchestra, He is also President of the Connecticut Summer Opera Foundation. Dr de Luise serves on the Board of Trustees of Earl and Shirley Herbst Eye Research Fund. Dr. de Luise completed Harvard University's Advanced Leadership Initiative Fellowship program, working on curriculum design in Medical Humanism
