Chairman and CEO, Minth Group
Jong-Hwa Chin is the Chairman, Chief Executive Officer and controlling shareholder of Minth Group, which he founded in March 1997. Mr. Chin graduated from the Chinese Municipal College and has over 29 years of management experience in the auto parts industry. He has been leading the company since its inception.
Mr. Chin holds a number of further positions, including Chairman of the Xinhua Compassion Education Foundation, Chairman of Zhejiang Taiwanese Business and Enterprises Committee, Chairman of Huai’an Taiwan Merchant Association, Vice Chairman of Ningbo Association of Enterprises with Foreign Investment, Board member of Ningbo Polytechnic College, Consultant of Zhejiang and Ningbo CPPCC, and Vice President of Jiaxing Taiwan compatriots Investment Enterprise Association.
Mr. Chin has also received a range of honors in Zhejiang Province and Jiangsu Province, including "Ningbo Honorary Citizen", "Jiaxing Honorary Citizen", "Huai'an Honorary Citizen", "2010 Huai'an Economic Figure of the Year", and "Huai'an City's Most Influential Overseas Merchants".
He was appointed as a Board member of Minth Group in July 2005. In August 2017, Mr. Chin was re-elected as Chairman of the Board, Executive Director and Chairman of the company. Under his leadership, Minth was awarded the “Global Quality Innovation Award” by BMW in 2016, the first Asian company to receive this honor in the BMW’s 100-year history. In 2017, Minth won the “Best Partner Award” from Daimler, and was ranked the “Top 100 global OEM parts suppliers” by Automotive News in the same year.
