Mr. Ericson Chan is the head of Ping An Technology at Ping An Group. Ping An Tech is the high-tech core of Ping An Group for IT planning, development, operations and services.  Along with Ping An Group’s development, Ping An Tech has accumulated profound experience in “tech + internet + finance” as the innovation incubator and main builder of the Group’s internet finance business.

Mr. Chan started his career in the U.S. before joining Standard Chartered Bank in 1998.  He held various executive positions in Hong Kong, Singapore and Shanghai, including Global Head of Consumer Banking Technology and Group CIO for Sales and Service Channels.

Mr. Chan is committed to improving efficiency and productivity while delivering values and services that customers want. Customer experience and innovation are high on his agenda as banking products and services become more commoditized and get disrupted. He believes technology and online business offer a lot of opportunities to transform the banking industry.

Mr. Chan determines to drive performance through digital solutions, service & product differentiation, and operational productivity, and passionate about all aspects of Customer Experience and anything on the online world. Mr. Chan is an advocate of Fintech development and environmental protection.  He is on the board of the Jane Goodall Institute Hong Kong, on the World Economic Forum Financial Disruption Committee, and part of the HK General Chamber of Commerce Fintech Group.  Mr. Chan was also awarded “China Excellent CIO” by CIOCEO Magazine in 2012.
