Jonathan Wilmot is a Managing Director of Credit Suisse, based in London. He joined the firm in 1985 and is currently Head of Macro Investments in the Systematic Allocation Strategies group within Asset Management.
Prior to his current role, Mr Wilmot was the Chief Global Strategist in the Fixed Income Division of the Investment Bank and Vice Chairman in Private Banking Research. He developed the CS Global Risk Appetite Index in 1997, and the RAII/Holt asset allocation system based on it in 2008.
Mr Wilmot is known throughout the industry as a leading macro-thinker and investment strategist. He continues to work with the bank's major clients across the Investment Banking and Private Banking & Wealth Management divisions. He is a member of the Bank's Global Economics and Strategy Group and CS Research Institute and advises senior management and the CS Board on macro and business trends.
Mr Wilmot joined Credit Suisse First Boston from Bank of America where he worked as an international economist.
He holds a degree in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from Oxford University.
