Dave Dai

Head of Regional Utilities and Renewable Energy, Credit Suisse

Dave Dai joined Credit Suisse in 2013 as the head of regional utilities and renewable energy, with stock coverage of Hong Kong/China. Dave joined from Daiwa Capital Markets, where he was Director and Regional Head of utilities and renewable energy, and deputy head of Hong Kong/China Research. Before joining Daiwa in 2010, he spent more than three years at CLSA Asia Pacific Markets covering Hong Kong/China utilities and renewable energy, and briefly in a local hedge fund covering Hong Kong-listed stocks. In recent years, he has been recognized as one of the top three utilities' analysts in both the Institutional Investor All-Asia and All-China survey. During his employment at Credit Suisse, he won the championship for the HKSFA Best Research Report competition (sponsored by CFA Institute) in 2015. He graduated from the University of Toronto and is a CFA charterholder.
