Territorial disputes are rife around the world: verbal battles in the South China Sea between China and a number of countries, conflict in the Middle East, most notably in Syria, and the posturing between Russia and Europe over Ukraine, are just a few. How can these disputes be settled, and is it even possible? Robert Kaplan is one of the foremost geopolitical analysts in the world, he has been a consultant to the U.S. Army's Special Forces, the United States Marines, and the United States Air Force. He has lectured at military war colleges, the FBI, the National Security Agency, the Pentagon's Joint Chiefs of Staff, major universities and the CIA, and is the author of 16 books.
