Angus Muirhead, CFA

Senior Portfolio Manager for Robotics, Credit Suisse

Advances in technology mean that ever smarter machines are able to perform an increasingly broad range of physical and cognitive tasks, not only cheaper and faster than people, but often more accurately, hygienically and consistently than people. Although robots have been in factories since the 1960s, Angus Muirhead, Senior Portfolio Manager for Robotics at Credit Suisse, explains how we are still at the very early stages of a long-term secular adoption phase for robotics and automation solutions, and explores the triggers that are enabling these developments. He will also address the popular questions around the threat that robots will replace people in the workforce and make some recommendations to investors and governments on how best to position to benefit from this fast moving and dynamic theme. This promises to be a lively and interactive session.
