Jordan Cheng is founder and CEO of MAD Gaze.
Mr. Cheng founded MAD Gaze, a Hong Kong-based manufacturer of augmented reality (AR) smart glasses, in 2013.
He leads a team of experts with more than 20 years of experience in developing AR hardware and software. MAD Gaze's research activities include AR algorithms, hand gesture recognition and optical technology, and the company has registered nearly 50 patents. The MAD Gaze Developer Community has attracted more than 4,000 developers.
MAD Gaze sells smart glasses in 50 countries and has captured a 14.3% global market share as of 2020. The company collaborates with over 400 major enterprises, including Nespresso, Cathay Pacific, IBM and Sony. It has won over 50 industry awards and closed more than US$30 million of financing.
Mr. Cheng has been hailed by the media as the "Father of Smart Glasses in Hong Kong" and an "IT Rising Star".
