David Murphy
Head of China Quantitative Insight (CQi), Credit Suisse
David Murphy is a Managing Director and Head of China Quantitative Insight (CQi) at Credit Suisse. CQi is dedicated to the independent collection of grassroots economic data across key industrial and consumer sectors in China.
Previously, Mr. Murphy led CLSA’s China Reality Research (CRR) group, which he co-founded in July 2005 to provide grassroots economic insights on China. In 1995, Mr. Murphy moved to Beijing where he built a career in journalism and wrote for numerous regional and international publications.
He is a graduate of Trinity College Dublin, where he specialized in 16th Century Irish history.
