We are pleased to announce the Women's Bond Club virtual panel discussion sponsored by Credit Suisse on Thursday, June 25, 2020 from 4PM - 5PM EDT.

The Women’s Bond Club invites you to join our Virtual Panel Discussion, where two cybersecurity leaders will provide insights into current cybersecurity threats and how to best mitigate them, as well as the challenges around future digital transformation and resilience. The panel will also address talent development in this field, from an individual and an enterprise level.

Melissa Hathaway

Melissa Hathaway is a leading expert in cyberspace policy and cybersecurity and consults governments, global organizations, and Fortune 500 companies on cybersecurity, enterprise risk management, and technology assessments. She is globally recognized as a thought leader in this field and has spent the last decade developing relationships with the highest levels of governments and international institutions - advising UN, NATO, the ITU, the OAS, and other key institutions and governments. She teaches at universities around the world and has distinguished affiliations with Harvard Kennedy School’s Belfer Center for Science and Technology, the Center for Asymmetric Threats Studies - National DefenseCollege, Sweden, the Digital Science Institute - European School of Management andTechnology, Germany, and the CyberLaw Research Program at Hebrew University in Israel. She also leads research initiatives at the following internationally recognized think tanks: the Potomac Institute for Policy Studies in the United States; the Centre for International Governance Innovation in Canada, and the Kosciuszko Institute in Poland.

Ms. Hathaway served in two Presidential administrations where she spearheaded the Cyberspace Policy Review for President Barak Obama and led the Comprehensive National Cybersecurity Initiative for President George W. Bush. She built a broad coalition from within the Executive Branch for two Presidents, developing a cybersecurity strategy covering unprecedented scope and scale that will now facilitate revolutionary improvements for the United States to secure and defend its critical national infrastructures. She received the National Intelligence Reform Medal, September 2009 and the National Intelligence Meritorious Unit Citation, December 2011 for her leadership.

Ms. Hathaway has extensive commercial experience too. She is President of Hathaway Global Strategies LLC and has served on the board of directors for three public companies and three non-profit organizations. She provides strategic advice to a number of public and private companies and brings her clients a unique combination of policy and technical expertise, as well as board room experience that allows her to help clients better understand the intersection of government policy, developing technological and industry trends, and economic drivers that impact acquisition and business development strategy in this field. Ms. Hathaway has a unique understanding of the problems and solutions and publishes regularly on cybersecurity matters affecting companies and countries. Ms. Hathaway has a B.A. degree from The American University in Washington, D.C. She has completed graduate studies in international economics and technology transfer policy, and is a graduate of the US Armed Forces Staff College, with a special certificate in Information Operations.

Steve Hill

Steve Hill is Managing Director, Global Head of technology, cyber and third party non-financial risk at Credit Suisse. He was previously deputy director, with a responsibility for aspects of UK Government cyber security policy, at the National Security Secretariat of the Cabinet Office. He served for over thirty years in the Foreign and Commonwealth Office in a variety of national security roles. Throughout his career, he focused on managing strategic risks and countering transnational threats, including terrorism and proliferation.

Steve is also a visiting senior research fellow at the War Studies Department of Kings College, London, and has participated in many international cybersecurity conferences. He studied law at Jesus College, Cambridge.

Alicja Cade

Alicja Cade is a Managing Director in the Chief Operating Officer function at Credit Suisse, based in New York. She is the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) for Global Markets, Investment Banking & Capital Markets, Group CIO and Americas.

She leads a multi-regional team whose mission is to protect the bank and its clients from Cyber and Information Security threats by defining key control requirements, reviewing effectiveness of controls and overseeing management of residual risk to ensure adequate information security protection of Credit Suisse environment.

Prior to joining Credit Suisse Alicja worked at PwC in the USA and UK, as a Director in IT Risk and Cybersecurity practice assisting multinational Banking, Insurance and Media & Technology clients in effectively managing their risk profile. She is recognized for designing and implementing innovative risk management frameworks and programs whilst driving value and confidence through an effective balance of governance, risk and control. She holds 25 years of experience ranging from technical and strategic transformation initiatives to resolution of complex governance and risk remediation problems, ensuring alignment of business and technology angles.

Alicja received a Postgraduate Diploma in European Business Studies and Master of Arts in European Business from University of the West of England (Bristol, UK). She is a Certified Information Security Manager (CISM, Information Systems and Control Association, USA) and obtained Qualification in Computer Internal Audit (QICA, Chartered Institute of Internal Auditors, UK).

Alicja chairs the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Protection Committee at Institute of International Bankers (IIB), USA.

Marinela Tudoran

Marinela Tudoran is a Managing Director in Credit Suisse's Global Markets Technology division, based in New York.
