How do I create a "restricted user profile" for safer online banking?

You can further increase security by using a restricted user profile (without administrator rights) when surfing the internet and accessing online banking. You can create a restricted profile under "Start" → "Control Panel" → "User Accounts" → "Create new account" → "Restricted" → Open "Create account" (Windows XP).

Is there a user manual for Direct Net?

Direct Net is being continuously optimized in accordance with the latest developments in software design. If you have any questions, use the help function in Direct Net or contact your client advisor.

What conditions must be met in order to use Direct Net?

  • Account at the bank
  • Direct Net contract with the bank
  • Computer with up-to-date software versions and a firewall
  • Fast modem or ADSL connection
  • Internet access via an internet service provider
  • Internet browser (e.g. IE, Mozilla or Safari)

What security settings in Microsoft Internet Explorer are recommended?

You should set the security settings to "medium". We advise you not to select "modified" because in this case various combinations are not compatible with the operation of Direct Net.

How can I change the language?

After you have logged on to Direct Net via the internet, click on the "My Profile" menu at the top right and choose "Language" in the left navigation menu. Please note that the language will be stored locally on your computer in the form of a cookie. This means that after the cookie is deleted the language is reset to the default setting. We recommend that you save the login page as a bookmark/favorite after you have selected the desired language.

What should I do if my SecurID does not work?

Please contact client care so that we can send you a new SecurID.

What do I do if my Direct Net contract is blocked?

For security reasons, the Direct Net agreement is blocked if the password is entered incorrectly three times. The contract can be unlocked by client care.
