Dr. Nannette Hechler-Fayd'herbe

Head of Global Economics & Research, Chief Investment Officer EMEA, Credit Suisse

Nannette Hechler-Fayd’herbe is Chief Investment Officer for the EMEA region and Head of Global Economics & Research of Credit Suisse. A voting member of the Global Investment Committee, Nannette helps shape and communicate the Credit Suisse House View. She also contributes to strategic and tactical asset allocation decisions that are implemented across all discretionary and advisory investment solutions of Credit Suisse. Moreover, Nannette is the architect of Credit Suisse’s thematic equity investment framework Supertrends. Nannette has been with Credit Suisse since 1999, originally joining the group as Head of Swiss Fixed Income and Credit Research at CSFB and gradually extending her responsibilities to the research coverage of all asset classes for the Private Banking division. Among her various professional engagements, Nannette was a board member of the Credit Suisse Pension Fund Switzerland and a board member of the International Capital Markets Association for several years. She serves on the Credit Suisse Research Institute as a research director and on the boards of the Department of Economics of the University of Zurich and the Institute of Economics of the University of St. Gallen. Nannette received a PhD in economics from the University of Lausanne in 1995. She is married and the mother of two children.

Richard Kersley

Managing Director, EMEA Securities Research, and Head of Global Product Management, Credit Suisse

Richard Kersley is a Managing Director of Credit Suisse in Securities Research, based in London. Within a career of more than 30 years in investment banking and research, he is currently the Head of the Firm’s Global Research Product Management group and regionally the Executive Director of EMEA Securities Research. He is a member of the Executive Committee of the firm’s in-house “think tank”, the Credit Suisse Research Institute, and leading author of a range of its thought-leading thematic publications. He sits on the Advisory Board of Credit Suisse Asset Management’s Thematic Equity Investment funds. Prior to his current position, Richard was Co-Head of European Equity Research and Head of the Pan-European investment strategy team. Prior to joining Credit Suisse in 1998, Richard was a Director in equity research at BZW, the investment banking division of Barclays, and head of its European investment strategy team. Richard holds a B. Soc. Sc. (Hons.) Class 1 degree in Economics from the University of Birmingham, UK.

Daniel Rupli

Head of Single Security Research, Credit Suisse

Daniel Rupli is a Managing Director of Credit Suisse within Private Banking, based in Zurich. He is Head of Single Security Research within Investment Solutions & Sustainability - a business area in Global Wealth Management.

As Head of Single Security Research Daniel Rupli is responsible for the bottom-up analysis for single companies assigning a fundamental view as well as providing investment recommendations on stocks and bonds. Further to this, he is also responsible for the thematic equity research delivery. Daniel represents Credit Suisse's research expertise in internal and external conferences and client meetings.

Daniel Rupli joined Credit Suisse in 2009 as a Senior Credit Analyst within Investment Strategy Research. Prior to this, he worked in similar roles for another large Swiss bank. He has over 20 years of industry experience. Daniel Rupli is a Swiss certified banking expert with federal diploma.

Sara Carnazzi Weber

Head of Policy and Thematic Economics

Sara Carnazzi Weber is Head of Policy and Thematic Economics at Credit Suisse covering regional, economic policy and thematic issues. Her research focus includes demography, retirement systems, the labor market and regional economics.

Born in Ticino, she holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Fribourg, where she also lectured in Statistics at the Department of Quantitative Economics in 2011.

She began her career at Credit Suisse in 1999 in the area of regional analysis and played a key role in its expansion within the bank. During her more than 20 years of experience, she has also worked as a consultant for national and regional authorities in Switzerland, such as the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO), the Federal Department of Education, Economic Affairs and Research (EAER), the Federal Statistical Office and various cantons.

James Purcell

Head of Sustainable Framework

James Purcell is a Managing Director of Credit Suisse and Head of Sustainability Frameworks in the Global Sustainability function. He is based in Zurich.

He is a member of the Global Sustainability Management Committee, the bank’s Sustainability Leadership Committee and leads the Center for Sustainability, a pillar of the Credit Suisse Research Institute.

James’ responsibilities include coordinating the firm’s approach to sustainable investing via the Sustainable Investment Framework (SIF) while also overseeing sustainable finance via the Sustainable Activities Framework (SAF) and Green Finance Framework (GFF). He also plays a key role in sustainability-related external engagement, by ensuring our sustainability strategy is accessible and that our related capabilities are aligned to, and well understood by, our clients, employees, regulators, investors and NGOs.

Before joining Credit Suisse, James served as Group Head of Sustainable, Thematic and Impact Investments at Quintet Private Bank. Prior to that, James served in a number of roles at UBS Wealth Management, where he was latterly Managing Director and Global Head of Sustainable and Impact Investments. During his career, James has spent time working in London, Hong Kong and Zurich.

James holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Oxford and has an MBA from the University of Chicago. He also is a visiting Lecturer in Sustainable Finance at ESCP Business School and is the author of an upcoming book on sustainable investing.
