A regime shift for fixed income assets

Every year, we update our Capital Market Assumptions, one of the six pillars of the Credit Suisse House View, to provide a basis for the strategic orientation of portfolios.

The key message this year is that expected returns for fixed income markets are significantly higher than in prior years as a result of central banks’ swift and forceful interest rate hikes to combat inflation.
