Entrepreneurs in China are at the forefront of global innovation and are an important catalyst of the country's economic growth, many of them pioneering world-class technology and revolutionizing consumer behavior. The theme this year "Unleash vitality; Embrace innovation" particularly focuses on honoring those entrepreneurs who have made exceptional contributions to establishing a collaborative, efficient, and seamless innovation ecosystem.

Now in its 17^th year in China, the EY Entrepreneur of the Year award is a prestigious and well established awards program that celebrates excellent examples of entrepreneurial drive. Many of the previous winners of the awards have become recognized as some of the most inﬂuential companies in their respective sectors. Entrepreneurship is one of Credit Suisse’s core values, and the support for entrepreneurship remains deeply embedded in our DNA. In 2021, a total of 11 outstanding leaders from 10 companies in mainland China, Hong Kong and Macau attained the honors, one of them is a female CEO.
