With the donation, Credit Suisse is expanding its multifaceted commitment to strengthen Switzerland as a location for education and research.

Credit Suisse is committed in many ways to strengthening Switzerland as a location for education and research. The donation to the University of Zurich will enable Credit Suisse to further expand its research activities in the areas of corporate culture, business ethics and social responsibility. To this end, Credit Suisse is supporting the existing professorship, which is staffed by Professor Roberto Weber, with a donation of CHF three million over a period of ten years. Roberto Weber has been with the Department of Economics at the University of Zurich since 2001 and is considered one of the world's leading researchers in Behavioral Economics.

Credit Suisse's long-term grant supports the University of Zurich's goal of continuing to pursue cutting-edge research and closing existing research gaps. The existing standards of the University of Zurich for safeguarding the independence of research with regard to donations and sponsorships are fully upheld by this agreement.
