A new study on the Canton of Valais commemorates the 50th anniversary of Credit Suisse in Valais

2011 This year, Credit Suisse is celebrating its 50th anniversary in the Canton of Valais – half a century of success. Credit Suisse opened its doors in Valais in 1961, with three branches located in Martigny, Sion, and Brig. Over the past 50 years, the bank has substantially expanded its network throughout the canton, and now boasts 9 branches with a total of 171 employees. To commemorate this occasion, Economic Research has produced a new anniversary study: "50 Years of Economic History in Valais – Tradition Meets Modernity," in which it looks back on half a century of eventful economic history.
