Viva Kids Banking Package Terms and License Notes

Terms and License Notes

1. Scope

By using the Digipigi apps (iOS: Digipigi Parents, Digipigi Kids / Android: Digipigi Parents, Digipigi Kids) and/or the Digipigi money box, the person (parent or guardian, child/client) using the app (“User”) indicates their acceptance of these Terms of Use / Privacy Policy (“Terms”) of Credit Suisse (Switzerland) Ltd. ("Bank"), both for themselves and their minor children using the app.

In addition to these Terms, a user manual (PDF) is also enclosed with the Digipigi money box, which must be followed at all times. The user manual is an integral part of these Terms.

2. Privacy policy

Unless set out otherwise in these Terms, the Bank’s privacy statement (PDF) applies. In the event of any discrepancies, these Terms shall prevail.

2.1 How do we collect, use, and access data?

Data from the Viva Kids private and savings account can be imported into and displayed in the Digipigi money box via the Credit Suisse Direct app. Anyone using the Digipigi Parents app and/or the Digipigi Kids app is therefore able to view the account balance imported from the private or savings account into the app.

The data imported into the Digipigi apps is not updated automatically. Users must initiate an update of the data themselves.

The Bank is able to access the data stored in the Digipigi money box and physically open the Digipigi money box if this is requested by a User or the Bank believes it to be necessary.

If the Digipigi apps are in offline mode, certain data which is only displayed in the online mode (via the home Wi-Fi) is not available or not displayed in the Digipigi apps.

The children's account numbers (IBANs) are always stored in the Digipigi money box in a non-identifiable form.

2.2 How do we ensure data security?

All data stored in the Digipigi apps, in particular the children's names, profile pictures, dates of birth, savings goals, chores, settings, account balances, cash held in the Digipigi money box, is encrypted. All data stored in the Digipigi money box, in particular the children's names, profile pictures, dates of birth, savings goals, chores, settings, account balances, cash held in the Digipigi money box, is unencrypted, but is not physically accessible without opening the Digipigi money box.

It is the sole responsibility of the User to delete personal data on the Digipigi money box before sending the Digipigi money box to third parties, e.g. for repair or disposal. The Bank does not accept any liability in this regard. Data stored in the Digipigi money box is deleted if the Digipigi money box reset button is pressed for at least ten seconds until the Digipigi money box says "CHECK CHECK."

For the initial installation of the Digipigi Parents app by the User (parent), a connection with the Viva Kids private and savings account is an option, but not required. If the User (parent) waives the right to a connection to the Viva Kids private and savings account, it is possible that other users of the in-home Wi-Fi may have access to the following data: Information about the cash amounts available in Digipigi, savings goals, profile picture of the children, name of children, chores, the account balance of the children, and log file data. It is the sole responsibility of the User (parent), and the Bank accepts no liability for creating a connection to the Viva Kids private and savings account when installing the Digipigi Parents app.

2.3 How do we collect, store, and track data?

The Bank tracks Users' behavior in the Digipigi apps and Digipigi money box together with the related personal information and stores this data on servers in Switzerland for five years. This data is used to provide support services, particularly fault resolution services, and is processed by the Bank or other Credit Suisse Group companies for marketing purposes, evaluated on an anonymized or personal basis, or grouped by specific criteria, and may be used for such things as product offers, prize games, or website content.
