Human Resources Business Partner
What is your role?
Veronika Blank: As a Human Resources (HR) Business Partner I act as a sparring partner on HR-related topics for different departments. I focus on strategic topics for our client group, and drive and implement the HR agenda. I deliver strategic advice on HR topics and challenges, and support the implementation of HR processes, tying them into our business strategy and ensuring high-quality results.
What do you love most about your job and Credit Suisse?
Veronika Blank: I love working closely with, supporting and learning from, senior colleagues to understand more about the challenges facing a range of business areas. Working at Credit Suisse offers great opportunities for development – I took advantage of a 5-month assignment to gain insight into another area in the bank and broaden my experience. Due to the organization’s size there’s extensive scope for internal progression and development. My work here has been very fulfilling, both professionally and personally.
Why did you decide a career at Credit Suisse was right for you?
Veronika Blank: Credit Suisse has excellent internship and Career Start programs offering graduates a valuable professional springboard and the chance to learn from experienced colleagues. I started my career with a 6-month internship followed by a Career Start Program within the Compensation Team. From my first day, I was treated like a permanent employee, and was actively involved in daily operations and projects, with the chance to learn a lot on-the-job. Regular events connected me with other colleagues and extended my network from an early stage.
