IT apprenticeships

Four years, an international working environment, and your choice of focus – our IT apprenticeships.

Suited to you. You choose the focus of your IT apprenticeship.

As an IT apprentice, you can choose between focusing on application development or platform development. In both apprenticeships, you will acquire fundamental IT expertise.

The IT apprenticeship is only offered in German-speaking Switzerland.

Application development

(with or without vocational baccalaureate)

As an application developer, you will design, program, and test software for our bank. You can complete the four-year apprenticeship in Zurich or Chur, and it includes:

  • Apprenticeship year one. Basic training.

  • Apprenticeship years two and three. Practical assignments.

  • Apprenticeship year four. Expanding your knowledge.

Platform developer

(with or without vocational baccalaureate)

As a platform developer (previously system technology), you are involved in the conception, design, and maintenance of information networks, and are responsible for cybersecurity, as well as other things. You can complete the four-year apprenticeship in Zurich or Bern, which includes the following:

  • Apprenticeship year one. Basic training.

  • Apprenticeship years two and three. Practical assignments.

  • Apprenticeship year four. Expanding your knowledge.

After the apprenticeship. Your career opportunities.

After your IT apprenticeship, you will have various opportunities to continue your career with us. Depending on your area of expertise, you can develop your professional skills in areas such as Application Development or Production and Infrastructure Services. Or you can complete the vocational baccalaureate in parallel to your job – if you haven't already – and then begin full or part-time studies with a major in IT at a university of applied sciences.

If you have a great desire to discover the world of IT and enjoy interacting with other people, then you've come to the right place. To join us, you also need to have the following things:

  • Good grades from the highest level of secondary education
  • Motivation to start practical training
  • A trust worthy personality
  • A good head for figures and enjoyment of computer work
  • Strict attention to detail and reliability
  • Initiative and the ability to self-start

Get started with us! Starting in July, we will publish our vacant apprenticeships on our job portal. Our IT apprenticeships start on August 1, as this lines up with the school year.

Shine in the interview

We review all job applications received and then invite suitable candidates to a job interview. A Young Talent Coach and a professional trainer will be at the interview.

Receive feedback

After the interview, you will receive prompt feedback from us as to whether we can offer you an apprenticeship.

Documents. What you need for the job application.

We can only accept job applications via our online portal. Anything that we receive via mail or email will be returned. If you would like to apply, you should have the following documents ready to be uploaded:

  • School transcripts (at least the last four summer and winter semesters)
  • Curriculum vitae
  • Other diplomas or certificates
