Research Institute Organization
The Credit Suisse Research Institute is chaired by Urs Rohner, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Credit Suisse Group AG. Its operations are managed by a dedicated Executive Committee, consisting of the CSRI Head and the bank's most senior researchers.
Lucia Waldner is Head of Credit Suisse Group's in-house think-tank, the Credit Suisse Research Institute. She is also member of the Office of the Chairman, where she holds the position of Director for Innovation. Before joining Credit Suisse, Lucia worked as lobbyist with EU institutions in Brussels in the area of transport and aviation security. She also worked as freelance journalist and founded a successful public affairs consultancy.
She graduated with distinction from Oxford University (MBA) and holds a Master’s degree from the London School of Economics.
Loris Centola is Managing Director of Credit Suisse in the International Wealth Management division and the Global Head of Private Banking Research. He is a voting member of the Global Investment Committee and belongs to the Investment Strategy & Research Management Committee.
Loris joined Credit Suisse in November 2014 from the Wealth Management division of UBS. He was with UBS between 2004 and 2014, where he was recently Co-head of CIO Wealth Management Research. Before that, he held several roles within UBS, among them Head of Business Development, Chief Operating Officer of Wealth Management Research (COO), Head of Fund Research and Head of CIO Macro.
He is a CFA Charterholder and holds a Master in Business Administration (MBA) from Boston University.
Richard Kersley is Managing Director of Credit Suisse in the Global Markets division's Global Equity Research department. He is the Global Head of Research Product and co-ordinates the development of Credit Suisse's thematic research.
Prior to his current position, Richard was Co-Head of European Equity Research and Head of the Pan-European equity strategy team. He received top rankings in both the Extel and Institutional Investor surveys for his work in this area. Prior to joining Credit Suisse in 1998, Richard was a Director of BZW and head of its European strategy team.
He holds a B. Soc. Sc. (Hons) Class 1 in Economics from the University of Birmingham in the UK.
Stefano Natella is Managing Director of Credit Suisse in the Global Markets division and the Head of Global Markets Research.
Stefano joined Credit Suisse First Boston in 1989 as a European bank analyst in London. In 1992, he moved to New York as a Latin American bank analyst and strategist, and was appointed Head of Latin America Research and Sales in 1995. He returned to London in 1998 as Co-Head of European Equity Research and became Co-Head of European Equities in 2001. Prior to joining the Credit Suisse, he worked for McKinsey & Co. in Madrid and Lisbon.
He received his Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Columbia Business School and he holds a Masters in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Florence.
Michael O'Sullivan is Managing Director of Credit Suisse in International Wealth Management Division and the Chief Investment Officer for International Wealth Management.
Michael joined Credit Suisse in July 2007 from State Street Global Markets. Prior to joining Credit Suisse, Michael spent over ten years as a global strategist at a number of sell-side institutions and has also taught finance at Princeton and Oxford Universities.
He was educated at University College Cork in Ireland and Balliol College in Oxford, where he obtained M.Phil and D.Phil degrees as a Rhodes Scholar. He is an independent member of Ireland's National Economic Social Council.

The Institute collaborates with the world's leading experts from academia, business and politics. In the past, these included Professor Joseph E. Among the Institute's long-standing Senior Advisors are Walter Kielholz, The Rt Hon Sir John Major KG CH, Professor Laura Tyson and Professor Ernesto Zedillo.
Chairman of the Board of Directors of Swiss Re and former chairman of the Board of Directors of Credit Suisse Group. His research interests focus on global insurance activities and social and economic development. In 2005 he was elected to the Insurance Hall of Fame by the International Insurance Society for his substantial influence on the Insurance industry for the benefit of society.

Professor at the Haas School of Business, University of California at Berkeley and member of the President Barack Obama's Jobs Council on Competitiveness. Her current research focuses on changes in the global economy, doing business in emerging market economies and US trade policy.
Former President of Mexico, currently Director of the Yale Center for the Study of Globalization and professor in the field of international economics and politics at Yale University. He is recognized as a leading voice on globalization.
