A passion for success

Sergio Garcia turned pro 20 years ago at the age of 19 and is one of the best golfers of his generation. He won his first club championship at just 12 years old. He went on to set a new record, becoming the youngest player ever to make the cut in a European Tour event at the 1995 Turespaña Open Mediterranea. Garcia developed from promising young talent to exceptional athlete, and for much of his career to date has featured among the top 10 of the Official World Golf Ranking (OWGR). In the video, he talks about the path he traveled and about what it means to make your dream come true and do your own thing.

Birdies for Good

With the Birdies for Good program, Credit Suisse has combined its commitment to golf with support for a charitable organization every year since 2017. For every birdie made at the third hole at the Swiss Seniors Open and at the eighth hole at the Omega European Masters, CHF 200 will go to the Swiss Charity of the Year. The Charity of the Year is chosen by Credit Suisse employees in Switzerland.

Our commitment

Credit Suisse has been involved with the Omega European Masters in Crans-Montana since 1984. The impressive backdrop of the Valais Alps, especially the warm hospitality and family atmosphere at the European Masters, has made this tournament on the PGA European Tour unique in the world. The popularity of the Omega European Masters among world-class players can be seen from the list of top players who regularly travel to Valais to take part in the tournament and compete on the attractive Severiano Ballesteros course at the Crans-sur-Sierre golf club.

Since its inception in 1997, the Swiss Seniors Open has been the largest and most important professional golf tournament in German-speaking Switzerland, and the second-largest in Switzerland as a whole. In terms of the number of international tournament victories already achieved by participants, the Swiss Seniors Open is the undisputed number one among the Swiss golf tournaments. Credit Suisse is proud to have supported the tournament as a sponsor since it was first held and will be delighted to be there again as a partner this year when international stars showcase their skills on the fairways of Bad Ragaz.
