Credit Suisse invites you to an Open Day at MASI Lugano

Credit Suisse invites you to an Open Day at MASI Lugano.

As a long-standing partner of MASI Lugano, we are pleased to invite you to the Open Day at the start of this unprecedented exhibition on Sunday, September 4, 2022 (10:00–18:00). Admission is free.

This fall, the Museo d'Arte della Svizzera italiana in Lugano (MASI Lugano) will be exhibiting a special selection of original drawings and etchings by Paul Klee from a private collection, dating from between 1910 and 1930. The collection was assembled in the 1970s and this will be the first time that it has been displayed in its entirety in a museum.

The works on display in the exhibition shed light on an important element of Paul Klee's work, namely the importance he attached to drawing and lines as the essential starting point for the visual representation of an idea. The collectors concentrated on this aspect of Klee's oeuvre and, over the years, assembled around 70 works including pencil, pen-and-ink, and pastel drawings, watercolors, etchings, and lithographs, which today form an exceptionally coherent whole.

MASI Lugano and Credit Suisse have worked in partnership for many years. "We're greatly looking forward to the Paul Klee exhibition, which enables us to gain new and surprising insights into Klee's creative work," says Marzio Grassi, Head of Credit Suisse Region Ticino. "Credit Suisse has been a proud partner of MASI Lugano for 30 years. I'm delighted that we have recently been able to extend our long-standing, successful partnership for a further three years, until 2024. Credit Suisse's commitment to MASI Lugano underscores our regional roots in Ticino, which date back over 100 years. I am pleased to invite you all to the Credit Suisse Open Day at MASI Lugano."

The Credit Suisse Open Day at MASI Lugano will take place on Sunday, September 4, 2022 (10:00–18:00). Join us in discovering the Paul Klee exhibition. Afterward, you will be able to take a souvenir photo and enjoy a delicious ice cream. Admission is free.
