Building an inclusive future.

The Credit Suisse APAC Foundation, launched in February 2020, is the strategic community investment vehicle for Credit Suisse's global Corporate Citizenship and Foundations strategy in the APAC region.

672171197

The Credit Suisse APAC Foundation focuses on improving the employability, aspirations and financial education of disadvantaged young people and the financial inclusion of underprivileged populations across Asia Pacific (APAC) (excluding India). We do this by supporting organizations who operate in a sustainable way through multi-year partnerships involving both financial support, capacity building and employee engagement.

Grant making covers the Asia Pacific region with the exception of India. Credit Suisse India entities comply with the 2% CSR regulatory spend as per the 2013 India Companies Act. All grant making in India is governed by the India Philanthropy Committee and the grant portfolio focuses on Future Skills, Financial Inclusion, Financial Education, Quality and Inclusive Education as well as Environment, Sustainable Livelihoods and Community Development.

Focus areas and objectives

The Foundation has three key focus areas: Future Skills, Financial Education and Financial Inclusion. In the area of Future Skills we support organizations that equip disadvantaged young people with skills and education for a productive future. In the area of Financial Education we support organizations that improve the financial education and skills of disadvantaged people. In the area of Financial Inclusion we support organizations that expand access to high-quality, affordable financial products and services for disadvantaged populations.

We are committed to funding multi-year partnerships that bring the bank's wealth of knowledge, expertise and network to bear on behalf of the charities. We seek to strengthen the capacity of organizations, sectors and fields we focus on to accelerate change and to leverage the energy, skills and professional expertise of our employees to drive social and business impact.

Partner organizations

Prior to the launch of the Foundation, all grant making in APAC was governed by the APAC Philanthropy Committee.

Corporate Citizenship. Empowering People.

Together with our employees we work with selected partner organizations to help strengthen our society and to address social issues. Together, we strive to build a more inclusive future where all people can access the resources and develop the financial, entrepreneurial and other skills to thrive in the economy and society. As part of this commitment we set three focus themes: Financial Inclusion, Financial Education and Future Skills.

Our regional teams, foundations and charity committees implement projects – in collaboration with specialized partner organizations – that make a difference to the communities in which we live and work and respond to regional and local challenges.
