Co-Founder and General Partner, Alpha JWC Ventures
Jefrey Joe is Co-Founder and General Partner of Alpha JWC Ventures, an early- to growth-stage Southeast Asian venture capital firm with a focus on Indonesia. The firm currently manages around USD650 million across three active funds and over 60 active portfolio companies.
Mr. Joe is a serial entrepreneur and seasoned investor. Prior to founding Alpha JWC Ventures in 2015, he had experience in running technology companies, including co-founding Alterra, Indonesia’s pioneer online bill payment platform, and leading Groupon Indonesia as its COO. In addition, Mr. Joe has been an angel investor in multiple early-stage tech start-ups in Asia and the U.S., and currently sits on the board of Angel Investor Network Indonesia (ANGIN). Mr. Joe also spent a few years as a consultant at The Boston Consulting Group and Ernst & Young.
Mr. Joe was closely involved in Indonesia's newest Unicorns in the early days, serving on the boards of Kopi Kenangan and Ajaib. He currently sits on the boards of some of the fastest growing start-ups including Kredivo, GudangAda and Lemonilo. Mr. Joe is also a member of the Young Presidents’ Organization.
Mr. Joe obtained his Master of Business Administration degree from the University of California, Los Angeles Anderson School of Management and graduated from Harvard Business School’s Owner/President Management Program. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Systems from Monash University.
