Erica Poon Werkun

Erica Poon Werkun is a Managing Director of Credit Suisse in the Asia Pacific Division. She is Head of Securities Research, Asia Pacific, responsible for further enhancing Credit Suisse’s Equity Advisory offering in the region and delivering high-quality commercial investment ideas to clients. She is also responsible for driving market-leading content that can be leveraged across Credit Suisse’s integrated platform in the region and globally.

With close to 30 years of experience in the finance industry, Mrs Werkun spent over 20 years in Equity Research and eight years in Investment Banking. She rejoined Credit Suisse from UBS, where she was a Managing Director and Head of Research for UBS Securities in China. She was previously Head of Asian Consumer and Internet Research at UBS. Prior to that, she was at Goldman Sachs covering the Consumer and Technology sectors in Hong Kong and Taiwan. Before that, she worked in the Investment Banking Division of the Credit Suisse First Boston (CSFB) Technology Group in Palo Alto and Hong Kong, as well as at SG Cowen in San Francisco and New York, where she focused on the telecom, media and technology (TMT) sector.

Mrs Werkun holds a BS in Economics from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. She is a CFA Charterholder and a Certified Public Account. She serves on the Executive Board of the Wharton School in Asia. She was awarded the Individual Achievement Award in the Markets Choice Awards: Women in Finance Asia Awards 2020.
