Chief Smart City Officer, Singapore; Director, Planning & Prioritisation, Smart Nation and Digital Government Office

Tan Chee Hau is Director, Planning & Prioritisation in the Smart Nation and Digital Government Office, Singapore and has been with the Office since it was established in May 2017. He is responsible for setting the Government’s digital transformation strategy including the Digital Government Blueprint, and is optimistic that tech can really improve lives and create opportunities for Singapore and Singaporeans.

Mr. Tan joined the Singapore public service in 2007 and has served stints at Ministry of Manpower, Minister of Defence, People’s Association, Sport Singapore and the Ministry of Communications and Information. He studied Computer Science at Stanford University, and was also a Sloan Fellow at the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
