Important Event Information

1. Data Protection statement

Please see below for an overview of how we process your personal data and of your rights according to applicable data protection laws.

What personal data do we use?

We process personal data that we obtain directly from you in the course of marketing Event registration (via printed reply card, e-mail online registration, QR code or onsite mobile device), as applicable: your name, phone number, address, email address, registration data collected on the registration form and logistical details necessary for running the Event ("Personal Data"), including your companion registration data.

What do we use your Personal Data for and on what grounds?

We use your Personal Data for the purpose of arranging and holding the Event, for managing your registration/participation, for any communication with you in connection with the Event and for efficiency and reporting purposes with regard to this Event. We may also use your Personal Data to send you direct marketing materials relating to future events. We use your Personal Data only if you have provided your prior consent, which can be withdrawn at any time. Withdrawal of consent does not affect the legality of Personal Data processed prior to withdrawal.

Who do we share your Personal Data with?

Your Personal Data may be shared, in electronic and/or physical form with authorized personnel of Credit Suisse AG, and Credit Suisse (Switzerland) Ltd. in Switzerland as well as with Credit Suisse Group AG and its affiliates ("Credit Suisse Group") (the address(es) of which are available at https://www.credit-suisse.com) (herein referred to as "Credit Suisse Group", "Credit Suisse", "we", "us" in Hong Kong and elsewhere who are involved in the organization and staging of the Event. Your Personal Data may also be transferred securely to third-party service providers engaged by us (e.g. travel arrangers, hotels, etc.) as relevant for the Event. From time to time we may also need to provide your Personal Data to auditors and government authorities for compliance and regulatory purposes. Please note that third parties may interpret participation in this Event as an indication of an existing or potential banking relationship with a Credit Suisse Group company. 

In addition, your Personal Data may be processed by Dealogic, 120 Broadway, 8th Floor, New York, NY, 10271, USA for the purposes of providing IT services in connection with this website. 

Will your Personal Data be transferred across national borders?

Credit Suisse is a global company therefore your Personal Data may be accessed, transferred or otherwise processed by authorized Credit Suisse personnel and third party suppliers outside the jurisdiction of the marketing Event or different from your country of residence. In particular, your Personal Data may be kept in a central marketing Event management database hosted at Credit Suisse AG in Switzerland, and may be available to Credit Suisse personnel based in Switzerland that support Events.

How long will your Personal Data be stored?

Your Personal Data will be kept for 18 months following the Event. After this period, Event-related information (that may include Personal Data of the Event participants) is securely archived for the purpose of record retention obligations that Credit Suisse is subject to under applicable laws and regulations.

Are you obliged to provide Personal Data?

It is voluntary for you to provide us with your Personal Data and consent to the use of your Personal Data as outlined in this Data Protection statement, but if you fail to do so, we may be unable to register you for the Event.
What data protection rights do you have?If you (i) have any questions about the way that Credit Suisse collects and uses your Personal Data; (ii) do not want us to contact you; (iii) wish to make a complaint in relation to the use of your Personal Data; or (iv) wish to exercise your rights as a data subject under the applicable laws of your country, which may include the right to withdraw your consent, the right to access your Personal Data, the right to update or rectify your Personal Data, the right to have Credit Suisse erase your Personal Data, the right to restrict further processing of your Personal Data or the right to data portability, as applicable, please inform us by sending an email to Credit Suisse - Registration Coordinator at the following address: aic.conference@credit-suisse.com

You have the right to object to the processing of your Personal Data for the purposes of direct marketing at any time, in which case we will no longer process your Personal Data for this purpose. 

We will respond to your request/complaint in the timeframe specified in any applicable law, or otherwise within a reasonable time.

In addition to the above rights, you may also lodge a complaint with an appropriate data protection supervisory authority in line with applicable law.

Whilst we will take reasonable steps to protect your Personal Data, please note that we will not be responsible for ensuring that overseas data recipients comply with the Australian Privacy Principles (APP). By consenting to the cross-border transfer of your Personal Data you acknowledge that, if the overseas data recipient handles your Personal Data in breach of the APPs, Credit Suisse will not be accountable and you will not be able to seek redress under the Privacy Act. The data recipient may not be subject to privacy obligations similar to the APPs and you may not be able to seek redress in the overseas jurisdiction. In addition the data recipient may be compelled to disclose your Personal Data to a third party such as a foreign authority. 2. Anti-corruption statement

Credit Suisse Group seeks to comply with the various anti-corruption laws and regulations applicable to government officials, employees of government entities/agencies and employees of commercial entities which may impose constraints on the amount or type of expenses Credit Suisse Group may pay on your behalf. By registering for this Event, you confirm that your acceptance of this invitation and the payment by Credit Suisse Group of expenses associated with this Event, including but not limited to any meals, refreshments, receptions, hotel accommodation and other entertainment, do not violate any law or regulation to which you may be subject or your organization’s policies and you have obtained any necessary approvals. If you or your organization is required to reimburse Credit Suisse Group or pay for any of these expenses directly, kindly contact us to make the necessary arrangements.

3. Direct Marketing

We may use your Personal Data to send you direct marketing materials relating to the Event. Please note that you can object to this, and that by doing so, we will not be able to provide you with materials relating to the Event (including Event daily updates).

4. Use of Virtual Platform

The upcoming webinars will be organized by Credit Suisse (Hong Kong) Limited, a bank organized under the laws of Hong Kong, and/or its affiliates and hosted on a third-party video conferencing service provider not affiliated with Credit Suisse. 

The communication and the materials provided are for information purposes only and do not constitute an offer or an invitation by, or on behalf of, Credit Suisse AG to enter into a contractual agreement for financial services or to buy or sell any securities or related financial instruments or to participate in any particular trading strategy in any jurisdiction.
