Roger Federer: "It's a mindset to stay physically fit."

Being a world-class tennis player also means being in top form. For Roger Federer, physical fitness  takes high priority. These days, he is able to prioritize quality over quantity in his training– unlike during his early days.

In the world of sports, things are naturally tough at the top. Holding on to the top spot means relentlessly focusing on your condition. Disciplined training for strength, perseverance, coordination, speed, and flexibility are imperative to keep your competition at bay. For him, physical fitness is "one of the most important things to be successful," says Federer. "If you want to be successful, you've got to put in the work. There's just no way around it."
