Kinner Lakhani joins Credit Suisse as Head of Group Strategy & Development

Credit Suisse is pleased to announce that Kinner Lakhani will join the bank as Head of Group Strategy & Development. In this role, Kinner will be based in Zurich and will report into Tidjane Thiam, Chief Executive Officer.

Kinner brings with him considerable experience across wealth and asset management, investment banking and the wider financial sector, and is among the most respected voices in the industry. He will work closely with our divisions and corporate functions as we drive incremental growth, assess opportunities to further expand our leading global footprint and continue to deliver an integrated approach to client coverage.

Kinner joins from Deutsche Bank, where he was Head of European Company Research & Advisory, as well as Head of European Financials Research, having joined the bank from Citigroup in 2015, where he was co-Head of the European Banks Research team. He has covered the banking sector for more than two decades, with previous roles at ABN Amro and Morgan Stanley. Kinner has been consistently top rated by investors, achieving number one European banks analyst in the Institutional Investor survey in 2018 and previously featuring amongst the top twenty Bloomberg Global Champion Stockpickers.

Kinner has written extensively on the future of the asset management, investment banking and the banking industry. Over the past four years, in partnership with a leading global consultancy, he has published thought-provoking thematic reports on the trends and outlook for the global wealth management industry, including most recently Out of the pit stop – into the fast lane. Kinner has also served on the European Central Bank’s Macro-prudential Policies and Financial Stability Contact Group, a forum for debating issues related to euro area stability and macro-prudential policy.

Kinner is a qualified Chartered Accountant (ACA) and studied BSc Actuarial Science (First Class Honours) at the London School of Economics and Political Science.
