Credit Suisse appoints John Woods as Chief Investment Officer Asia Pacific, Private Banking & Wealth Management

Credit Suisse announced that John Woods has joined Credit Suisse as Chief Investment Officer Asia Pacific for Private Banking & Wealth Management, based in Hong Kong.

As Chief Investment Officer Asia Pacific, Mr. Woods is responsible for developing Credit Suisse Private Banking & Wealth Management’s regional investment views across and within asset classes, as well as contributing to the development of consistent discretionary and advisory strategies for the bank’s private and institutional clients in Asia Pacific. He is also a member of the bank’s Global Investment Committee. He reports to Ms. Nannette Hechler-Fayd’herbe, Global Head of Investment Strategy, Investment Strategy and Research.

Mr. Woods brings 25 years’ experience in equity, fixed income and currency markets in Asia and the UK. He joined Credit Suisse from Citi Investment Management where he was the Head of Fixed Income Asia Pacific. Before that, he served as the Chief Investment Strategist for Asia Pacific at Citi Private Bank. In this capacity, he was a member of the Global Investment Committee, responsible for multi asset allocation of advisory and discretionary mandates, as well as for developing the Asian investment strategy, asset allocation and client management. He has also held senior roles with HSBC in the UK and Hong Kong, including as Global Head of Credit Research and Strategy.
