Credit Suisse Announces Partnership with Triangle Land Conservancy

Morrisville, N.C. – Credit Suisse is proud to announce a new partnership with Triangle Land Conservancy (TLC), which will aid the conservation and preservation of land protecting watersheds in and around the Triangle. The bank is one of the world's leading financial services providers and has expanded its presence and employment opportunities in Raleigh-Durham, NC over the past several years.

TLC is one of the largest land conservation organizations in North Carolina and is committed to safeguarding clean water, protecting natural habitat, supporting local farms and food, and connecting people to nature. TLC was founded in 1983 and operates eight public nature preserves covering almost 23,000 acres of protected land that includes 148 miles of stream across six counties of the Triangle. As part of this, TLC has built and currently maintains 53 miles of walking and mountain biking trails that are free and open to the public from dawn to dusk daily. As an accredited Land Trust, TLC meets the highest national standards for excellence, ethical practices, and conservation permanence.

As a firm, Credit Suisse is committed to becoming a sustainability leader in the financial services field and contributing to a more sustainable global economy focused on advancing long-term solutions.

"We are excited for the opportunity to build a strong partnership with such an important North Carolina organization as Triangle Land Conservancy," said Eric Eckholdt, Executive Director of the Credit Suisse Americas Foundation. "TLC aligns well with Credit Suisse’s efforts to make sustainability a cornerstone of what we do within the Triangle area. By partnering with the Conservancy, we support an important cause in a way that we value deeply by coupling our financial capital with our human capital through meaningful volunteer activities."

The Credit Suisse Americas Foundation is funding the partnership with TLC through its Community Impact Portfolio, which aims to couple its giving with a comprehensive range of volunteer support using our employees' energy and expertise to strengthen the capacity of our nonprofit partners. In 2021 alone, Credit Suisse Raleigh volunteers contributed more than 7,300 hours volunteering within the Triangle community.

"TLC is incredibly grateful to Credit Suisse Americas Foundation for investing in the health and vibrancy of this fast-growing region," emphasized Sandy Sweitzer, TLC's Executive Director. "We hear over and over from new and longtime residents that the lush green landscapes and ample access to lakes, streams, and trails are the hallmarks of this special region we call home. But it takes hard work and investment to protect wild and working lands forever, and we are thankful to Credit Suisse for partnering with us in that effort."

Credit Suisse is a proud resident of North Carolina and looks forward to assisting in the protection of the Triangle’s land through our work with Triangle Land Conservancy. To learn more about TLC visit www.triangleland.org
