Changes to the Board of Directors of Credit Suisse (Switzerland) Ltd.

As previously announced, Alexandre Zeller stepped down as Chairman and a member of the Board of Directors with effect as per today.


With effect from March 1, 2019, Dr. Peter Derendinger, a member of the Board of Directors since 2016 and currently its Vice-Chairman, will be appointed as the new Chairman of Credit Suisse (Switzerland) Ltd. Patrizia Pesenti, a member of the Board of Directors since 2017, will be appointed as the new Vice-Chairwoman of Credit Suisse (Switzerland) Ltd.

Further, Dr. Christian Camenzind will join the Board of Directors of Credit Suisse (Switzerland) Ltd. as an independent member on March 1, 2019.

With effect from March 1, 2019, the Board of Directors of Credit Suisse (Switzerland) Ltd. will consist of the following members:

− Dr. Peter Derendinger (Chairman)
− Patrizia Pesenti (Vice-Chairwoman)
− Dr. Christian Camenzind
− Dr. Alexander Gut
− Urs Rohner
− Tidjane Thiam


Short biography of Dr. Christian Camenzind

Dr. Christian Camenzind started his career at Credit Suisse in Zurich in 1989 and has held several key management functions at Credit Suisse in Switzerland, UK and Luxembourg as well as at Bank Leu. From 2000 to 2011, he was Chief Executive Officer of Bank Sal. Oppenheim jr. & Cie. (Switzerland) Ltd., Zurich, and from 2011 to 2013, he served as Chief Operating Officer Wealth Management Asia/Pacific at Deutsche Bank AG, Singapore. At SIX Swiss Exchange Ltd., Zurich, he was a member of the Regulatory Board from 2005 to 2010. Since 2013, he has been an independent investor and advisor and continues to exercise several advisory mandates and directorships in the financial industry. Christian Camenzind holds a Master’s degree and a PhD in Law from the University of Zurich and attended the Advanced Management Program at Wharton Business School, USA.
