Credit Suisse Raises Over USD 5.5 Million For Japan Earthquake Relief
Credit Suisse today announced that it has raised USD 5.5 million in relief funds for victims of the recent earthquake and tsunami in Japan. The total consists of contributions from employees across the globe and those from matching and direct donations from the bank.
Osama Abbasi, Chief Executive Officer of the Asia Pacific Region said: "We are pleased that our colleagues globally throughout the Bank have shown such strong support and that locally Credit Suisse is acting as a responsive member of the Japanese community. We are confident that the people of Japan will come through this disaster and work together to rebuild the country."
