"winahouse.ch": new house courtesy of Credit Suisse

Credit Suisse "winahouse.ch" competition draws to a closeAfter four rounds of competition with attractive prizes, the main prize draw for the Credit Suisse "winahouse.ch" competition was held on November 3, as part of the international home and furniture exhibition "neue räume 05". The first prize, a house with a total value of one million Swiss francs, was won by Stefan Bryner from Villmergen (AG). The lucky winners of the two other main prizes, a Peugeot 407 SW and a furniture voucher from Interio to the value of CHF 20,000, are Manuela Balmer-Grossniklaus from Unterseen (BE) and Thaïs Bonvin Petermann from Agiez (VD).

With a volume of CHF 95 billion, the mortgage business is one of the core businesses of Credit Suisse. In order to position itself even more strongly in the market as a mortgage bank and banking services partner, Credit Suisse came up with something rather special: in May this year the bank launched a new competition under the name of "winahouse.ch", where the main prize was a house valued at a total of one million Swiss francs. This unusual competition enabled Credit Suisse to make valuable contact with both existing and potential clients. Hanspeter Kurzmeyer, Head of Private Clients Switzerland, is also pleased with the very positive response: "We have exceeded our expectations with this unique competition. We will therefore be running the "winahouse.ch" competition again next year".

First prize: a dream home
The first prize, with a total value of one million Swiss francs, is a single-family house of the SWISSHAUS brand, courtesy of Wohnprofil AG. The house itself will cost CHF 500,000, while the other half of the prize can be used to acquire the land plot and to cover other costs and expenses that the acquisition will entail. The two other main prizes are a Peugeot 407 SW worth CHF 39,000 and a furniture voucher from Interio to the value of CHF 20,000.

More chances to win thanks to monthly competitions
Four rounds of the competition were held between June and October 2005. Every time contestants participated in one of these monthly competitions they automatically increased their chances of winning. They also became eligible to win further attractive monthly prizes such as interior furnishings and fittings, home entertainment systems, and cars, with an overall value of more than CHF 200,000. Each monthly question revolved around the themes of house building, home living and financing, and could be answered on the internet at www.winahouse.ch.
