Credit Suisse Asset Management Adds Portfolio Manager to its UK Fixed Income Team

Credit Suisse Asset Management (CSAM) today announced the appointment of David Ashton to the UK fixed income team as a Portfolio Manager.

David, who will be based in London, will be part of the team responsible for managing GBP 1 billion of gilt funds and will report to Ian Fishwick, Head of UK Fixed Income.

David brings five years of investment experience to CSAM. He joins from F&C Asset Management where he spent three years as a government bond analyst and fund manager, focusing on the UK gilts market.

One of CSAM's core competencies is the management of fixed income assets on behalf of clients globally. In the UK, 70% of CSAM's assets are fixed income orientated, with UK fixed income accounting for around GBP 7 billion in total. CSAM's fixed income team globally manages over GBP 60 billion and comprises approximately 100 professionals, with 50 investment professionals based in Europe.

Commenting on the appointment, Ian Fishwick, Head of UK Fixed Income said:
