Credit Suisse Asset Management Further Develops Credit Research Team

Credit Suisse Asset Management (CSAM) is pleased to announce the appointment of Robert Thomas as a credit analyst in Fixed Income, covering financial institutions.

Robert will report to Garland Hansmann, European Head of Credit Research. Robert's addition to the team is a further demonstration of CSAM's commitment to proprietary research. Over recent months, CSAM has made a significant investment in the expansion of its European credit research capability to help manage the credit exposure of its GBP 49 billion of fixed income assets under management in Europe.

Robert joins CSAM from Barclay's Capital where he spent two years as a credit analyst and he was previously at Lehman Brothers for three years, also as a credit analyst. Robert covered the banking sector at both Barclays and Lehman Brothers.

Robert's appointment follows two recent appointments to the European Credit Research team. Ope Agbaje joined as a credit analyst in March 2005 covering structured products including asset backed securities, and Stephen Hargreaves joined the team at the beginning of 2005 covering retail, consumer, healthcare and automotive companies.

Garland Hansmann, European Head of Credit Research at CSAM said:
"We are very pleased to have Robert join us. His previous experience makes him a great addition to our Credit Research team which we have been strengthening in recent months."

Michael Gray, Global Head of Credit Research at CSAM said:
"These recent appointments are part of our commitment to building a world class research capability. We believe research is a vital part of the disciplined investment process required to provide clients with strong, consistent investment performance."
