Message from the
Global Head of Supply Management
Dear Supplier
It is our vision at Credit Suisse to become the world’s most admired bank, renowned for our expertise and valued for our advice, innovation and execution. Our community of suppliers plays an integral role in helping us to achieve this vision. They directly contribute to the smooth running of our day-to-day operations and significantly help promote the right working environment for our employees. For our most important and critical relationships, we regard our suppliers as an extension of Credit Suisse, aligned, agile and continually responsive to our business plans and needs.
I am often asked how suppliers can establish and nurture a successful relationship with Credit Suisse. My answers are simple. Firstly, we seek to appoint suppliers purely on the basis of meritocracy – we are committed to working with the best firms who most closely satisfy our requirements. Secondly, we seek to engage suppliers who demonstrate an ethos of value and quality in their interactions with Credit Suisse. Value means providing the widest array of benefits in fulfilling our needs, be it providing the goods and services we require in the most efficient and optimal form, showing a cultural mindset of continuous improvement, acting as our trusted advisor, having a strong aligned international customer account management model and of course aggressive commercial terms which continually drive down our costs. Quality means meeting and exceeding our required specifications, never tolerating mistakes, waste and inefficiency, and having an attitude of excellence in everything suppliers do for Credit Suisse.
Those companies who continually meet our requirements and share our passion and motto to help our Credit Suisse clients thrive, will find they have the solid foundation required to enjoy a mutually prosperous supplier relationship with our Firm.
Thank you for all you do for Credit Suisse.
Yours faithfully
Gerard Voogt
