Renaming to Credit Suisse AG
Zurich, November 11, 2009 - Credit Suisse was renamed to Credit Suisse AG with effect from November 9, 2009.
The reason for this renaming is an amendment to the Swiss Code of Obligation, according to which, inter alia, Swiss stock corporations need to include a descriptor indicating the company's legal form (e.g. "AG" for "Aktiengesellschaft") in their company name before January 1, 2010.
Existing contracts with us need not to be amended or re-signed only because of this renaming. However, we kindly ask you to address any further invoices to the new name as per overview (PDF).
It is important to note that the renaming of Credit Suisse to Credit Suisse AG will only affect the legal entity Credit Suisse and its representative offices and branches (see the attached overview). The renaming will not affect Credit Suisse subsidiaries and affiliates (e.g. the names of Credit Suisse Securities (USA) LLC or Credit Suisse International will not change).
