Renewed interest in risk management and the creation of a culture of risk awareness is driving current investment committee meeting agendas. This should come as no surprise in light of the recent market events. Many investors expecting little near-term liquidity have begun to write down illiquid assets due to lower expected returns and are having difficulty exiting investments.
