The strategy employs a long/short, directional approach with the principle aim to deliver positive absolute performance returns while maintaining low volatility. Through fundamental research and approximately 350 management meetings and company site visits a year, the team identifies approximately 35 long and 15 short high conviction positions, with a view to exploiting the market inefficiencies of the small and mid-cap markets.The strategy invests in a concentrated number of small and medium-capitalized companies across countries and sectors while using select hedging strategies to attempt to reduce risk.
