Enduring Values for State and Business
Switzerland and Credit Suisse benefit from one another in myriad ways. A large number of Swiss people choose to bank with Credit Suisse, while the bank provides jobs and training places for more than 21,000 individuals. Many of these individuals achieve highlevel professional qualifications, and become valuable taxpayers in the municipalities and cantons in which they reside.
Jobs and Career Prospects
Around one in five employees in the Swiss banking sector works for Credit Suisse. The bank is one of the country’s largest employers, employing an above-average number of highly qualified individuals.
1.5 Billion Swiss Francs for Federal, Cantonal, and Municipal Authorities
This was the average annual contribution made to the federal government, cantons, and municipalities by Credit Suisse and its employees between 2006 and 2011 in the form of taxes and contributions to social welfare institutions. This makes the bank, together with its employees, a major Swiss taxpayer.
