As a lender, Credit Suisse facilitates the financing of business activities and investment by firms both large and small. Through mortgages, however, it also enables many Swiss people to buy their own four walls every year. The fact that the bank is also a strong partner to its asset management clients is evident from the steady inflow of new funds in Private Banking.

Volume of Credit at Credit Suisse Amounts to Over CHF 150 Billion

74 percent of this comprises mortgages, a majority of which are granted by the bank for the financing of owner-occupied homes. Swiss SMEs have taken up CHF 29 billion in loans, and a far higher amount is available to them as credit lines. In the form of operating loans and mortgages, these funds enable businesses to operate successfully in the market place.
