Contributions to the Public Debate
Credit Suisse's publications regularly include analyses of important current affairs.
Our publications are an important component of Credit Suisse’s dialogue with its various stakeholders. We use a range of media and different formats to satisfy the information requirements and preferences of our readers. Our offerings are targeted primarily at clients and investors but are also used by the media and academics, thus benefiting a broad audience.
Publications
Credit Suisse Economic Research
This department produces in-depth studies and analyses that clients and investors can consult when making decisions. Its research publications are also used by politicians, the business community and the media as a basis for the evaluation or interpretation of current trends.
bulletin
'bulletin' is the world’s oldest magazine for bank clients and is targeted at a broad readership. The publication, which has won numerous international awards, has been reporting on economic and social themes and trends around the globe for 114 years. Each issue is dedicated to a specific topic. The views of high-profile individuals are also featured.
Market News and Expertise
The weekly online magazine informs Credit Suisse clients about relevant topics relating to Credit Suisse’s core areas of business. Examples include microfinance, sponsorship and financial trends.
Global Investor
The investor magazine features background analyses about current themes, while the print publication focuses primarily on longer-term trends and examines their potential impact on the financial markets and investments.
Worry Barometer
Credit Suisse has been gauging the issues that are of most concern to the Swiss public for over 30 years. This representative survey also examines how the Swiss see themselves as a nation. Its findings provide an insight into the current mood of the population and therefore serve as an important source of information for politicians, the business community and the media.
Youth Barometer
In 2010, the Worry Barometer was extended to include a survey of young people. It revealed that the common interests of young people not only include aspects of the cyberworld such as SMS, Facebook, e-mail and smartphones but also Italian food and TV series.
Corporate Responsibility Report
The Corporate Responsibility Report provides an overview of our efforts to promote sustainability. Our reporting is based on the guidelines prescribed by the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) – an international standard for the publication of economic, environmental and social indicators. The GRI is designed to create a global basis for the comparison of corporate sustainability reporting.
Online-Forums
We regularly hold online forums that are open to all users. Depending on the topic, proven experts or teams of Credit Suisse specialists answer the participants' questions. The subjects covered may relate to any area of Credit Suisse’s activities. In addition to the financial markets and the economy, social issues relating to fields such as sports and culture are also debated.
