Asia Pacific Philanthropic Committee
The Credit Suisse Asia Pacific Philanthropic Committee was established in 1998 to fulfill the Firm's responsibility as a good corporate citizen in the region. The focus of Asia Pacific philanthropic giving is disadvantaged children's education. Since its inception, the Committee has approved over 270 individual grants.
In 2006, grants from the Asia Pacific Philanthropic Committee directly helped over 4,500 youths with the gift of education. Our support built, upgraded or improved both the physical and human infrastructure in over 28 schools, improving education in these communities for years to come. Our philanthropic activities have also provided scholarships and books, purchased computers and enabled employees to mentor students.
